Abid Ali, a gifted and versatile artist, leads the ninth generation of his family’s musical legacy. Born on May 5, 1984, music runs deep in his family, being not just an art form but a cherished tradition. Under the guidance of his esteemed grandmother, Late Ustad Abdul Kareem Khan Sahib, a renowned Sarangi player, and vocalist, Abid Ali began his musical journey at a young age. His profound connection with classical Indian music and his thirst for innovation led him to blend traditional and contemporary elements, forming his unique style. As the heart of the Kaafila band, Abid Ali’s soulful voice and enchanting compositions resonate with listeners worldwide, uniting hearts and keeping the flame of his musical heritage alive.
Firoj Ali
Saxophonist
Firoz Ali, a talented Sexophonist and the founder of the Kaafila Music Band, was born on November 5, 1984, into a family where music is not just a job, but something they deeply love. For eight generations, his family has been devoted to preserving and sharing Rajasthani folk and classical music. On his dad’s side, his ancestors served in the court of Sikar Maharaj, and on his mom’s side, they belong to a prestigious group called “Gharanas” in Jaipur Darbaar. Growing up in such a musical atmosphere, Firoz Ali developed a strong passion for music. Today, he carries on his family’s musical legacy through his incredible performances and contributions to the music world.
